Welcome to India Economy & Business Analysis portal, founded by an IIT Roorkee – IIM Calcutta alumnus with over two decades of experience across research and industry.. The portal attempts to provide simplified, yet engaging and insightful analysis of current business affairs and help readers build a perspective on these issues. The portal was selected in the first round of startup contest, “Smart fifty”, sponsored by the Government of India and is subscribed by the library of IIT Roorkee. 

The portal should be of particular importance to young professionals especially, those in the field of banking, economics & management and all non-finance professionals. This would not only help them in their job interviews but also in all macro/ business related discussions and help them carve a niche for themselves in an increasing knowledge driven workplace.

The portal also attempts to delve on corporate failures and decisions gone wrong (without getting into governance issues). As Former President, Late APJ Abdul Kalam had said, “Don’t read success stories, you will only get a message. Read failure stories, you will get some ideas to get success”. Further, as former President Pranab Mukherjee said, “Adjunct faculty from the industry and research institutions can provide practical orientation to course modules”. There is a need to understand the practical aspects of business and policy decision making. I would call this site a modest attempt towards this, a desire to share perspective with my 20 years of industry experience.

The endeavor is to keep the stories simple and focus on broad trends/insights rather than focusing on exact numbers. There may appear to be a bias towards policy news as these issues are even more complex and less understood even though they have much larger ramifications.

And most importantly, I want this site to evolve as a classroom in the longer run. A virtual classroom, where we all can interact. To learn from each other. And make learning of business affairs an enjoyable experience..!
